Ways to Protect Your Mental Health
While at Home
Here are some tips for taking care of your mental health during this time:
- Take breaks from watching news and social media about COVID-19. Stay informed, but avoid overexposing yourself. Too much information can be overwhelming and stressful.
- Take care of your body by getting enough sleep, eating healthy and moving around - this helps us take care of our mental health
- Make time to connect with your family at home or friends through the phone or face-to-face video
- Practice hobbies or activities you enjoy as you keep up with your school work - FUN AND ENJOYMENT also promote positive mental health
- This is a good time to do something new or that you did not have time to do before (rearrange your room, clean out your closet, help out at home, etc)
